Members of the former hit band The Early November have posted an update on what they are all currently doing. Check it out below.
pretty crazy when you think about it.. a year from today we released our triple disc. it was july 11th.. we played a show at the trocadero and sold our cd for $1. remember!! it was awesome. so in celebration of that, me and the guys all met at a place where weve held many of our band get-togethers.. palace diner. it was a good chance to all be at the same place at the same time and catch up. ya know, since we havent been with eachother every single day of our lives latley.
so since you guys are some of the most dedicated fans.. i figured ill post a little blog and let you all know what were all up to. were all still alive and well and are all happy as ever. the band breakup has spawned alot more options and things to do in life and everyone seems like theyre getting the hang of it fine.
bill is working with this company right now, setting up tents for out-door parties and whatnot. ya know, bein a mans man.. workin outside, getting some sun. its basically like hes working on warped tour again minus the stringing guitars part. i asked him about the whole going to carpentery school thing.. he would like to do it and will probably look into it in the future. bills a very care free guy and hes really happy right now. not like he wasnt happy before. nothing really ever bothers him hes always just gone with the flow. i really respect that. i did tell him that i am in desperate need of a bill lugg solo.
ace is currently building a recording studio which he tells me is almost finished. i have to get over and check it out. from what he told me, it sounds really sick. he sounds like hes been really busy latley. many of you know he started a label with his wife called regular music. they actually have their first release coming out in august from the very talented singer/songwriter pete nischt. ace is also recording a new record which will be under his own name. he showed me a few songs a little while ago and personally, i think theyre some of the best songs hes ever written. expect an amazing record, seriously. hes also going out on tour really soon. the dates are actually posted and you can check them out on the ICMAM myspace. hes got a ton of really cool things planned and ALOT to look forward to so get pumped.
right now joe is working at discmakers. discmakers is a cd and dvd manufacturing company. he shot out some bullshit at his interview and wound up getting himself a really good job. in his spare time he plans to record a cd of his own where hell mostly do everything. hell actually be recording it at aces new studio. im not sure what he plans to do with it. it might be for himself or it might be for people to hear. maybe you guys will hear it some day? you never know. you neeeeeeeevvvvveeeerrr knoooww. hes going back to college in september for marketing. joe really goes after what he wants. hell go on and make a bunch of money cause as much as it kills me to say it, hes a very smart dude.
serg for some reason didnt show. i talked to him yesterday but not today. hes a real son of a bitch. he doesnt have a phone or a car at the moment so the only way you can really get in touch with him is through sending smoke signals.
as for myself, i just recently got a job at a place called sterling medical. its got a very “office space” type feel. what we do is take orders from really old people that are like dying and shit and send them their medical stuff that they cant buy in regular stores. in a way, im helping people. and as much as i hate working a real job, it really does make me happy at the end of the day. most of you know already that i started a new band, i recorded a new record, and that mixing started today. after i got out of work i talked to chris (our engineer / producer) and he told me that because of a crazy thunderstorm, the power in his studio went off at 3:00pm. i talked to him at 8:00pm and it still wasnt back. unfortunatly, mixing will start tommorow haha. i love everything right now, except the fact that im working a full time job. im very anxious to get out on tour again as soon as we release this record.
to sum it all up.. we all talked about life, the band, our plans, and everything in between. i love these guys. were all family. weve been through a ton of shit together and although were 5 completley different people, we respect eachother. sometimes thats hard to come by.
im excited for what the future will bring. anything can happen. give us 20 years or something, let us do what we need to do.. well give you your reunion tour.
take care of eachother.
