I def. agree with punk?, the warped tour should be bands like Rancid, NOFX, Casualties, the Vandals, Dropkick Murphys, Guerrila Buscuits, bands like that. Anymore the Warped Tour is nothing but a bunch of emo bands like Hawthorne Heights and the Used. I mean come on, whatever happened to the “PUNK” in the Warped Tour?
The warped tour is trying to make money man. The big bands sell tickets and i think it has been better and better every year. open up your mind to new music man and you would have a blast. If not then the warped tour is making a ton of money as it is, and could careless if you buy a ticket or not.

Only thing good about the Warped Tour anymore is bands like Guttermouth and Tiger Army and Murphy’s. Bands that sing about how GOOD it is to be alive and have a good time while you still can. Oh yea emo music, just how I want to spend my life, bitching and moaning about how gay it might be. Everything else is just dumb whogivesashit music. And I couldn’t careless than I already do if they get my money or not. I’ll stick to the Murphy’s and Rancid concerts. All the other emo guys can go. Hense why I don’t.

I see so many people bitch about how theres less and less punk at Warped Tour. Maybe thats because punk is and has been a dying genre for years. I love punk music, don’t get me wrong. But you have to accept that bands like The Clash and Sex Pistols arent around anymore, and most other punk bands since them have brought a seed of evolution. Punk rock changed. Now we have mostly pop-punk, which is just fine. Punk kids go on and on about how “emo” kids and bands whine all the time, but all the punks do is complain about the emo genre and it makes them look retarded and hypocritical. Whatever. Punk isnt huge anymore, now more people are getting into screamo and hardcore and things like that, and in a couple/few years, itll die out and something else will be huge. Grow up.

Music is about a communication of emotion wether it’s feeling like crap about agirl or just gettin pissed and having fun. The only thing that really matters to me is that the band tries to be professional and original i mean there are a lot of emo songs that just sing about nothing that anybody cares about and play there insturments with no real heart, originality or talent, but the same can be said about any genre of all time, i mean come in punk you got the same repetitive guitar part in every song, it seems like the guitaists learned moveable power chords and then gave up on evolvin any further, but thats okay in some cases because thats all they need. I believe music is on of the last great arts but if closed minded than it will shrivle up and die, but if we are not discerningit will become over run by rederic and the spirit will be lost.

Years back when the Warped Tour was GOOD, there were hardly any people bitching besides parents and grandparents. Well evidently if you go to Warped, it’s not to have a good time(Root) because all you’re going to do is bitch about all the emo bands there. I’m sure if you look hard enough, you could find a festival or a show that’s nothing but street, political or whatever the hell kind of punk bands that you want to see. Sometimes, I think people pay thirty dollars to go to Warped just to bitch, so I really don’t see the ignorance in saying people at a SKA FESTIVAL(nowhere in my first post did I mention Warped) are there to have a good time. Ok Trevor. Now if you would have read my earlier comments I stated that I’m not going to the Warped Tour anymore because of all of the emo bands that play there. It’s not about where it came from, it’s about what bands today have made it become. People have made emo become a type of music that encourages depression and sadness. I’d bet that those were not the intentions of those who first started the emo genre. Metal spawned from Britain with bands like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Black Sabbath. But look at what it has become today. Where emo spawned from means shit to me. It’s not the same as what it was when it first came around.
