Panic Division Side Project
Colton Holliday of The Panic Division has announced a side project by the name Slender Dorris. You can get more information about the project below.
Hey everybody, Colton here from the Panic Division. This has been under wraps for the last year or so, but I’m finally announcing that I have a side project called Slender Dorris. I have just recently finished the album, and begin tracking vocals tomorrow. To give you guys an idea of what it sounds like, it is frenchy electro 80s ambient pop dance with vocals. Diego Chavez is involved in this project as well. The release of Slender Dorris will be quite different than others.
I plan to release the albums only digitally and through ITunes. I also plan to release 2-3 records a year, so everyone gets more music and everyones happy. Since I’m one of the only geezers left that still believes in owning a pressed copy of an album, and enjoying the art work and theme of the album, I will have pressed albums for sale only at live shows. I also plan on having a free download of the art work at the myspace page, for those that purchased the album through iTunes, and want a little more art. I also plan on making the downloaded artwork interactive.
So theres the news. I begin tracking vocals tomorrow, and should have music up for everybody very soon. Thanks to all of you for your constant support over these last few years, and I cant wait for you guys to hear the new music!
Happy New Year,
Colton Holliday

Showbread Headed To Ecuador; New Album Details
Passionate about helping others in need and using their platform to encourage others to do the same, Tooth & Nail band Showbread heads to Ecuador in January to spend two weeks at the Casa De Fe orphanage in Shell, Ecuador. This is part of a new partnership with the newly formed organization, Faceless International.
This trip is a follow up to the bands previous trip to Calcutta, India that was taken last January, also with Faceless International. During the Calcutta trip, members from Anberlin, Showbread, Classic Crime, and Hundred Year Storm learned about the grave injustice of human trafficking and modern day slavery. “For most of us, the absolute horror of human trafficking is an illusory concern. It is simply so far away and so unreal that our mind cannot develop a case for its urgency,†says Showbread frontman, Josh Dies. “For most of us, the poverty that lies elsewhere in the world is only a commercial on television or a photo that Bono puts on Oprah. As George Romero presented it in one of his films, we sit in a centralized palace, ignoring the horrible truth that surrounds us, acting as though it isn’t there at all. But it is there, breaking down our doors.â€
Showbread will be releasing two new albums titled Anorexia and Nervosa, on May 13th, 2008. More details on the albums can be found below.
As we’ve said many times over, Showbread prefers recreating the band’s musical tone with every album, this album is no exception…
The first thing that makes this record special is the fact that it is TWO records. When the release date finally comes in the spring, Showbread will be releasing TWO new albums on the same day, each with twelve completely different songs. One album is called “Anorexia†and the other is called “Nervosaâ€.
The second special thing about these records is that they are soundtracks to a story called “Anorexia Nervosa†which is split into two, ten chapter segments, one segment comes included with one record and the second comes with the other. As you read the story, the album acts as a musical accompaniment to the text. Musically, the sound is some of the most lush, organic as well as some of the most harsh, synthetic material we’ve ever done. It’s sweeping and ominous, then jagged and screeching.
In addition to the two albums that will be released in stores, a limited printing of a special edition package will be made available for everyone who wants the most in depth experience of “Anorexia Nervosa†possible. We’re excited to bring you more updates about both albums in the coming months. Thank you and may raw rock kill you forever and ever amen.
The Valley Call It A Day
The Valley, a Australian alternative rock band has called it day. See below for their Myspace blog post on why they have decided to do so.
To our fans and friends,
In case you are wondering, and to give everyone a heads up on the situation of The Valley, we have decided to end the band and go our separate ways.
We’ve had an amazing journey as a band, through many highs and some real hardships, and we want to thank all our supporters and friends for sticking by us personally and as a band. We appreciate your prayers both past and present and appreciate all the people who came out to our shows, bought any merch, gave us a place to stay or hung out with any of us guys.
Each of us guys are getting busy with new projects, and we wish each other the best for them. Wayne is playing with his new band Dangerous, James is out on the road with Matt Corby, and Shaun is hitting the road with the Amity Affliction. Tim became involved with the Christian music scene in America, playing in churches and doing ministry and he will continue that in Australia and beyond as well. Tim and Ash will announce new band projects soon (and focusing on modelling careers) so keep an eye out for those.
So once again, thankyou so much for your support of The Valley…The Valley
