The Ataris Writing New Material
The Ataris frontman Kris Roe states that the group is now working on new material…
“We are actually writing at the moment. It is sometimes hard to find inspiration in the same things that may have inspired you when you were alot younger.. or put yourself in the same place where you were then. But musically I will always have a love in my heart for those bands that inspired me to start writing songs…. Jawbreaker, Samiam, The Replacements, Descendents… I very much enjoy the energy of playing music along those lines. Even though artistically I may have changed personally. I do think The Ataris next record will sort of pick up where “end is forever” and “Blue Skies…” left off. After making a record such as “Welcome the Night” A record which I feel was very bold and honest artistically, and very much coming from the most truthful places in my heart and all that I was going through at the time. I feel that today where I am at is sort of coming around full circle and just having fun again and being newly inspired by the art that made me discover music in the first place. So yeah, I am excited for recording again. I think you will dig the songs.”
Skrewed Records Going Out Of Business
Hey all, hope everyone had a great Labor Day Weekend! I have a quick announcement: Skrewed Records, a small indie label that I worked at a number of years ago is going out of business. Sadly the owner acquired a healthy amount of debt running the label over the years. Thus Skrewed Records is having a special “Going Out of Business Sale” – Cheap CD’s and shirts are available in the store located on Myspace. If you have a few bucks to spare please purchase some items and help out my friend. Thanks guys!

The Narrator-All That to the Wall
Artist: The Narrator
Album: All That to the Wall
Label: Flameshovel
Purchase: Insound
Release Date: May 15, 2007
Overall: 9.0
Music: 9.0
Lyrics: 9.0
Production: 9.0
I like The Narrator. I like their sound. If you have never heard of them before this review I suggest you go out get the record and then finish reading this review. This three-piece band hails from all parts of the U.S but call Chicago their home. From the start of the record with “Son of the Son of the Kiss of Death,†“SurfJew,†to the ending with “Chocolate Windchimes†All That to the Wall is filled with lyrics that will make you miss the past but keep you guessing about your future, as you grow older. They also have a Bob Dylan cover of “All the Tired Horses†which is the only real flaw on the record, but everything else is great. I’ll keep this review short and simple before I keep rambling on and make up some weird shit, but until you listen to the record, you will understand why. .
Track Listing:
1. Son of the Son of the Kiss
2. August 32nd
3. Speeding Up the Gang
4.SurfJew
5.Panic at Puppy Beach
6. All the Tired Horses
7. Start Parking
8. Papal Airways
9. Breaking the Turtle
10. A Decade in Kentucky
11. Chocolate Windchimes

The recording process is officially complete. I sang my last song two nights ago. It feels great to be done with all the tracking. The CD is being mixed this week, and probably will continue into some of next week. With that said, let me introduce to you: “The Polar Bear and Cougar(EP). The EP is going to be five or six songs and is our first creation. It will be available at any of our shows and online via I-tunes and other online stores. We should have a track listing sometime next week and EP art. In the spring we will be releasing a full length album. We start full time touring on Sept. 15. Please come out to our shows and be a part of the “We Shot The Moon” experience.
Live life, be exicted!
