Surrogate Finish Album

June 14, 2007 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

Surrogate has finished their new album, Love is for the Rich, which should be out in August via Tooth & Nail Records. You can read a full update from the band below.

Last week we received the mixed and mastered version of our recording. We’re really happy with the way it came and can’t wait to play it for you all.

The title we’ve chosen for the record, “Love is for the Rich”, is actually the name of a song that we wrote and didn’t like enough to put on the finished product.

We’re expecting to put the record out sometime in August, and it should be reasonably well distributed, so it will be at a Best Buy (fantastic establishment) near you. Should you not have a Best Buy near you (unfortunate), you will be able to download it at a reasonable price from iTunes (redemption) with a bonus song that won’t be on the store bought version entitled “Popular Mechanics”.

Jimmy Eat World Tour Update

June 14, 2007 By Bryce Jacobson Leave a Comment

Jimmy Eat World has posted an update about their upcoming tour. Check their tour page for the latest dates.

hey everyone, thanks for the interest in the upcoming dates. we can’t wait to get out there and play some proper, headlining shows for you guys. there are a few questions as to what these upcoming dates will be like and I’d like to clarify a little bit so everyone knows what’s up. these summer U.S. dates are going to be different than the shows we’ve played in the past. these shows will include mostly acoustic and mellow material from our past 5 albums and also some rarities. the material won’t be exclusively acoustic, but it also won’t be full on rock. we wanted to do a short run in the U.S. that gives us a chance to play some songs we’ve never played and also take a more musical approach to the songs we’ve just normally blasted rock style. we will also be playing a few selections from our upcoming release, “Chase This Light”.

Set Your Goals Needs Your Help; Save The Music

June 13, 2007 By Adam Weidman Leave a Comment

Set Your Goals are looking to raise money so they can film a music video for their song Echoes. The group has teamed up with VH1 Save the Music Foundation and together they are offering exclusive merchandise currently available here. Proceeds will go to both the video project and the non-for-profit organization. Cool merch, a good band, and a great cause, is all I can say.
