Alkaline Trio To Re-Record Fan-Favorites For New Album

Punk-rockers Alkaline Trio have released plans to immediately record a new album featuring a collection of stripped down songs.  The group will re-record tunes from their seven studio albums in addition to cranking out brand new songs for fans on the new album, which will be released by Epitaph/Heart & Skull this summer.

The following tour dates for Alkaline Trio have already been released, leading up to the release of the album:
4/27 – West Chester, PA – The Note
4/28 – Providence, RI – Lupo’s
4/29 – New Haven, CT – Toad’s Place
4/30 – East Rutherford, NJ – Bamboozle
5/1 – Towson, MD – The Recher Theatre

More Bands Added To Bamboozle 2011

The Bamboozle 2011 has added more artists and announced the festival schedule. The annual three-day music extravaganza scheduled for April 29, 30 and May 1 at the New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, has announced additional main stage performers. Adding to an already exciting and diverse roster of today’s hottest artists, newly added main stage performers will include: Alkaline Trio, Sam Adams, Thrice, and Further Seems Forever featuring original members including Chris Carrabba (Dashboard Confessional).

Previously announced main stage performers include: Lil Wayne, Mötley Crüe, Taking Back Sunday, The Gaslight Anthem, Wiz Khalifa, Bruno Mars, LMFAO, Chiddy Bang, Dashboard Confessional, A Day To Remember, Boys Like Girls, New Found Glory performing their own set and a Ramones tribute featuring Marky Ramone, Circa Survive, Waka Flocka Flame, Streetlight Manifesto, and the RX Bandits. Tickets for three-day passes are currently available for purchase and beginning today, single day tickets will go on sale. Taken from Spinner.com, Alkaline Trio newest album, This Addiction, is said to be out February 23rd via the bands partnership label with Epitaph, Heart and Skull. The band will also be kicking off a tour with the band Cursive later that month.  Tour dates have yet to be announced.

Thrice To Release Double Live Album, DVD

Thrice is set to release a double live album and DVD on December 9th. The Album titled Thrice Live at The House of Blues features an entire live concert on two CD’s plus a DVD from a May 28, 2008 show at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA.  Also included is exclusive interview footage of the band fielding fan-submitted questions.

The Southern Californian quartet is currently touring with Alkaline Trio, Rise Against and The Gaslight Anthem in support of their critically acclaimed collection, The Alchemy Index Vols. I-IV.
