Florida indie rockers Copeland have announced their farewell tour kicking off March 3rd in North Carolina. I Can Make a Mess Like Nobody’s Business, Person L and Deas Vail will be joining them on their final trek.
“Doing a final headline tour was a priority for all of us says guitarist” Bryan Laurenson. “We didn’t want to end our journey without the opportunity to say “thank you” to all of our fans in person. We’re really excited about the lineup, and I think it’s going to be a fun and somewhat emotional experience.”
Copeland will be performing a retrospective set each night including songs from every album, calling back to the days when the songs were originally conceived. Playing each night like it is in fact their last show, the band will be sure to bring everything they’ve got to each performance.

Copeland have broken up. A message from the band can be read below.
Dear friends,
We have come to an extremely difficult decision. It has come time for us to move on from Copeland and follow other paths in our lives. We are absolutely grateful to have been able to make music for as long as we have. In the last 9 years we’ve been able to see parts of the world that we never dreamt we would see. We have shared the stage and built friendships with immensely talented artists. We’ve been afforded the opportunity to make 4 records that we’re extremely proud of. Most of all, we feel honored that people have cared so much for our band and for our art. We appreciate every listener who has allowed our music to be a part of their lives. We want to offer our deepest thanks to every individual who has supported us on this ride. It has profoundly impacted our lives.
To put your minds at ease, we assure you this is not a bitter break up. We all individually feel Copeland has run its course in our lives and it’s time for us to pursue what is next. We couldn’t end things without a proper goodbye, so we are planning a final farewell tour in the US this coming Spring, as well as one final jaunt around the world to some of our favorite countries. We are really excited about seeing you all one more time, and we hope it turns out to be the best Copeland tour ever.
It has been discussed and we are not ruling out the possibility of recording one more album sometime in the future. However, this spring tour will be our last.
From the bottom of hearts, thank you for all of your love and support.
Aaron, Bryan, Jon & Stephen

Copeland is gearing up to release a B-Sides album on November 27th. You can read an update from the band below.
So it’s time you learned some details about our upcoming b-sides record.
The title of the record is “Dressed Up and In Line”.
The idea is this – we’re taking rare and unreleased recordings from the last 7 years and revisiting the original tracks. All of them are going to be re-mixed and re-mastered. Many of them are going to be updated a bit with added strings, vocals, keys, and guitars. Some will be altered more than others. The goal is to have a cohesive album that can be listened to as a whole, rather than just a hodgepodge of songs (can you use the word “hodgepodge” in an official press release? I don’t know…but I did…twice).
In the end, we’ll have a DOUBLE DISC collection of rarities, b-sides, EP tracks, acoustic, and alternate versions. We’re going to package it with a booklet full of old photos and the stories behind the recordings. James Likeness is doing the layout, so you can be sure it will look very stylish.
We’ve already started remixing some of the tracks, but we have lots more work to do.
Our old buddies at the Militia Group are releasing this for us. You can expect it to hit stores on Nov. 27th.
More news to come…
