The Best of Bamboozle:
Hellogoodbye – Combining their performance at Bamboozle and my first real listen to their record, I can’t recommend anything higher than this band.
Cobra Starship – Expect my interview with Gabe to be up tomorrow! This CD is awesome and definitely a dance party waiting to happen.
Between The Trees – As if we haven’t been pushing them enough already, I LOVE this record. Read the review and stream it by clicking the banner up above!

Brandon Heath – About this time in October I was hoping to serve up a recommendation for My Chemical Romance’s The Black Parade without the bat of an eyelash, but MCR went ahead and made a crappy record so I’m left to scavenge through my album collection to find you something above sub-par. I came up with a record I’ve been overplaying through all of October. Brandon Heath’s Don’t Get Comfortable came out in mid-September of this year, but unlike his in-life roommate Matt Wertz’s album, hasn’t enjoyed the same amount of instant acclaim. Being familiar with both singer’s debuts, I find myself more drawn to Brandon’s wholesome, college-coffehouse authenticity than Matt’s new-era soul/pop/funk fusion. For an idea of Brandon’s audience think mellow acoustics like Jack Johnson under clever pop verbiage like Jason Mraz, with an unbeat appeal reminscent of John Mayer. If you’re in the mood for something markedly less rock and more roll-down-your-windows-and-drive pop give Brandon Heath a try.

Melee – This is a band that you need to watch out for. Hopefully people have heard of them but they deserve to be HUGE, and with the right marketing they will be when their major label debut comes out in the spring of ’07. Melee is a pure feel good pop band that will make you want more please check them out if you haven’t yet.
