Celtic pop-punk group Slide Show Baby are gearing up for the release of their self-titled debut album, which will be out through Moriath Records on June 26th. The record was produced by label owner Kirk McLeod, the front man of Celtic rock group Seven Nations, and will feature 11 genre-bending tracks.
Slide Show Baby hails from Nashville, Tennessee, but is not the typical bluegrass band that one might expect from the city. Instead, the four-piece uses bagpipes, mandolin, fiddle, and button accordion to create a sound that blends Celtic rock with emo, pop, punk and folk. “Long, Long Road,†a high energy song of that musical blend, is forecasted to be the first single off the new album.
Comprised of four young guys between 18 and 21, Slide Show Baby have experience beyond their years. The youngest member, lead singer/songwriter Will MacMorran, is somewhat a of man of many trades, having mastered six different instruments and having played at several Highland Games across the United States. The three other members, Victor Gagnon (fiddle), Sean McWilliams (bass), and Bob Zuclich (drums) follow in line, all being skillful at their instruments of choice.
