Fearless Records Signs The World Alive

Fearless Records has signed Arizona based The Word Alive.  The Word Alive is a technical, rift-driven screamo band from Phoenix, AZ fronted by Telle Smith (formerly of Greely Estates and In Fear and Faith.)

“Excited is an understatement,” says Telle as he talks about the recent signing to Fearless Records.  “We’re all ecstatic to be a part of the Fearless family.  We feel that signing with Fearless will open the door to many new opportunities.  It will allow us to be on the road so we can share our music with fans across the country and hopefully worldwide.”

Mark Hoppus To Produce Jet Lag Gemini, Motion City Sountrack?

Mark Hoppus is hoping to produce the next Motion City Soundtrack and Jet Lag Gemini albums. Hoppus stated the following on his Twitter account.

Listening to jet lag Gemini demos. Strong stuff. Hope to produce this album. Blink. Mcs. Jet lag. Let’s do this thing!!!!

There’s a good chance I may be working with Motion City on their new record. I REALLY hope it works out. I’ve heard demos and they’re rad.

Green Day Set Release Date

Green Day has set May 15th as the release date for their new album, 21st Century Breakdown. Their first single “Know Your Enemy” will be on-sale via digital retailers in April.
